Notice: Pitt Street Overpass Replacement

R.W. Tomlinson Limited is resuming the removal and replacement of the existing Highway 401 bridges over Pitt Street.

Construction restarted on Monday, April 1, 2019.

From April 8 to November 8, 2019, traffic on Highway 401 will be reduced to one 3.5 meter lane in each direction. Replacement of the eastbound lane bridge over Pitt Street will be completed prior to November 8 and the 401 will be reinstated to its normal configuration.

R.W. Tomlinson anticipates that Pitt Street between Tollgate and South Branch roads will be closed for a total of 15 days between April and November as necessary. The public will be notified via signage in place in advance of the planned closures.

During construction, Pitt Street will be subject to a vertical clearance restriction of 3.6 metres.

Lane closures can be expected on Pitt Street throughout the construction season along with construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.
