The City of Cornwall Planning Advisory and Hearing Committee (PAC) will hold a meeting, open to the public, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 7 p.m., in Salon B of the Cornwall Civic Complex (Lower Concourse). The purpose of the meeting is to consider the First Draft Zoning By-law (January 2021) document and Zoning Map prepared as part of the City’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review. Please note that this is not the Statutory Public Meeting for the Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review under Section 34 of the Planning Act, which will be held at a later date in the project process.

At the meeting, the First Draft Zoning By-law will be presented to the PAC for endorsement. The First Draft Zoning By-law was prepared in accordance with the recommendations set out in the Zoning Strategy Report (September 2020), which was presented to PAC on September 21, 2020. The First Draft Zoning By-law and Zoning Map is available for review on the City’s website at https://www.cornwall.ca/zoningreview, and a virtual Public Open House and online survey are being held from February 1 through February 14, 2021.

Following PAC’s review and endorsement of the First Draft Zoning By-law, a Second Draft Zoning By-law will be prepared and presented to the public at a Statutory Public Open House in Spring 2021.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: As a result of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Cornwall would ask that should you wish to attend the PAC meeting, please register with the Planning Division by email at edaniels@cornwall.ca or by phone at (613) 930-2787 ex: 2328 by Friday, February 12, 2021.

Physical distancing measures will be in place throughout the meeting. Attendees should sanitize their hands upon arrival and wear a mask if possible. Residents who are feeling sick should stay home and submit their comments in writing.
