City of Cornwall Hosts Public Engagement Session on Truth and Reconciliation Action Plan
Cornwall, ON – The City of Cornwall is pleased to announce a public engagement session on its Truth and Reconciliation Action Plan. This important event will take place on Wednesday, September 25, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Salon B at the Cornwall Civic Complex.
The session aims to foster meaningful dialogue among community members, providing a platform to share insights and contribute to the ongoing efforts of reconciliation. The City of Cornwall's Truth and Reconciliation Action Plan is guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action, which seek to address the lasting impacts of residential schools and advance the process of reconciliation.
“We invite everyone to join us in this important conversation," said Mayor Justin Towndale. "This effort will help the City of Cornwall recognize the wrongs of the past and begin the healing process."
