Circle of Lights
City of Cornwall staff members from Parks and Landscape, with the help of the Municipal Works, Cornwall Fire Service and Bergeron Electric, recently installed over 12,000 feet of lights this year. This includes the Circle of Light, located at the traffic circle on Brookdale Avenue.
The intention behind the Circle of Light is to celebrate the various religious holidays that are happening during the upcoming holiday season.
“We are so proud of the efforts staff put in through the many hours preparing the traffic circle for our residents and visitors to our beautiful city,” said Todd Lalonde, Parks and Landscape Supervisor. “Our staff take great pride in the work that they do daily.”
The City of Cornwall asks for your assistance in protecting the Circle of Lights. If you see anyone within the Circle of Lights, please notify the City of Cornwall Police.
“When we saw the destruction done to the lights last year it saddened our staff,” said Lalonde. “This Circle of Lights is meant to bring excitement, joy, and the warmth of happiness to all who drive by or simply may stop into neighboring parking lots to view and enjoy the lights with family and friends”.
We will light the circle on Saturday November 18th, just in time for the Santa Claus parade!
