Remembrance Day in the City of Cornwall

On Saturday, November 11, City of Cornwall council, staff, and residents will pause to pay their respects.

The cenotaph in Legion Memorial Park will be the site of the Cornwall Legion’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony, starting at 10:45 a.m. The public is welcome to attend and watch from the sidewalk.

On Monday, November 13, municipal offices will be closed. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection will continue as normal. The Cornwall Landfill will also be open.

Cornwall Transit buses will be running both on Saturday, November 11 and on Monday, November 13, but transit offices will be closed on Monday.

The Benson Centre will be open regular hours. The Cornwall Aquatic Centre will be open at 4 p.m. for regular evening programming and the Cornwall Civic Complex will open at 3:30 p.m. and be available to walkers until 9 p.m. Be sure to enter through the Aquatic Centre doors to access the walking track.

The Aquatic Centre offices will be open from 2:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, November 13.
