Whether you need child care because you are working, attending school, training or participating in upgrading skill courses, a licensed child care setting is a great place for your child to learn, to play and to grow.
The City's Child Care Division plans and delivers quality child care programs throughout the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and manages the Fee Subsidy Program.

The City also purchase services with several licensed Child Care Centres throughout the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Licensed child care is government-regulated early learning and care that takes place in child care centres.
Child care centres provide care for children in a group setting. All licensed child care centres are regularly visited and inspected by staff from the Ministry of Educationand are licensed under the Day Nurseries Act.
A license means that the child care program has met the Day Nurseries Act (DNA) standards for children's health and safety, nutrition, equipment, appropriate programs and activities, staff training and more. For more information about child care, you can visit the Ministry of Education website.
