Outdoor rinks provide valuable recreation and leisure opportunities for people of all ages.
The Department of Planning, Parks and Recreation operates a number of outdoor rinks throughout the community. The City is fortunate to have a number of outdoor rinks that are maintained by community-minded volunteers.
Residents who are interested in volunteering can contact Lorne Taillon, Leisure Arts Coordinator, at
(613) 938-9898 ext. 2.
Weather conditions & the availability of volunteers both play an important role in the quality of outdoor rinks.
Use our Parks & Recreation Trails map to locate a park near you!
The outdoor rinks at Optimist and King George parks feature outdoor lights that are on from 5 pm to 11 pm each night. There is also a light installed near the rink in Alexander Park, and there is street lighting located near most of the rinks.
