Youth Indoor Tennis Lessons
Fall in Love with Tennis at the Benson Centre
The Department of Planning, Parks & Recreation will be offering summer youth tennis lessons beginning Wednesday July 11th, 2012 at the indoor court at the Benson Centre. Join instructor Drew Poirier as he teaches players court etiquette and stroke techniques including forehand, backhand, serve, and volley. Through skills and game play, this course will help improve the players' tennis ability and focus on sportsmanship and having fun.
The lessons will be offered in three age categories and are scheduled to take place on both Wednesday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Our spring tennis lessons run from Saturday April 14th to Saturday May 26th, 2012. Players must provide their own tennis racquet. Please refer to chart below to find out your appropriate level and cost.

Youth Badminton Program
A Smashing Good Time
This coed badminton program, led by John Flannigan, will offer a mix of instruction and game play. Participants will be introduced to a series of age and skill related activities. Bring your friends, meet new ones, learn and improve your game while having fun.
Open to all levels of play, players must come equipped with their own racquet and indoor shoes.
Program will take place on Friday evenings at the General Vanier Gymnasium from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Start Date: Friday October 14th - Friday April 20th, 2012 (*Please note there will be no badminton on the following dates; Friday December 23, 30, January 6, March 16 and April 6th. Dates and times are subject to change.)
Ages 10 -13 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Ages 14 -18 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
