Volunteer Opportunities

Looking for a place to volunteer for the summer? Do you enjoy spending your days outside and being with kids? Then the Summer Playground Program is the perfect volunteering opportunity for you!

As a volunteer, you will be required to take part in an afternoon of training before commencing your hours on the park. This afternoon will ensure that you will understand your responsibilities as a volunteer. Once your training has been completed, you will be assigned to a Park location nearest to you where you will be able to create a schedule with the Park Leader.

You will be responsible for helping to make our playground program,  its day-to-day activities and special events for children a success.

This will be done by:

  • Showing up to your park regularly and on time
  • Making sure to follow the programs
  • Being patient with everyone

Some of your duties will include:

  • Setting up activities and crafts
  • Assisting with supervision of the children on the park
  • Assisting at off-park events
  • Providing positive goals and encouraging achievements
  • Creating a safe and positive environment
