The performing arts come to life each summer in beautiful Lamoureux Park. Entering its twenty-seventh season, Arts in the Park is a series of free, family friendly, live theatrical, musical entertainment, outdoor movie presentations and new this summer Artists in the Park. The concert series is held outdoors at the Lion's Club Bandshell, where everyone is always welcome. Bring your chair, blanket and picnic basket to Lamoureux Park and enjoy music performed by many popular local artists and performers. All evening performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and are weather permitting. Free parking is available at the Cornwall Civic Complex.

The Movie in the Park series returns for the second of two shows this summer to be held Friday August 31st, 2012 at the Lion's Club Bandshell in Lamoureux Park. This free family event will feature the presentation of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax on a 25-foot inflatable screen. The show will start as soon as it is dark enough (approximately 8:00 pm, weather permitting) and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so an early arrival is suggested.
Local artists will be set up showcasing their works before the movie and items on display will also be for sale. Food vendors will be on site selling food and drinks, and the Cornwall Civic Complex washrooms will remain open for the duration of the movie.
Organizers are reminding movie-goers to dress for the weather and come prepared with a lawn chair or blanket, a flashlight and bug spray.
