Building Permits
Welcome to the Building and Permits section of the Planning Department. Our offices are located at the Civic Complex on the Second Floor.
The Building Permits office is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Ontario Building Code & Act and various other by-laws. These include Property Standards By-law, Clean Yards By-law, Building By-law, Master Plumbers By-law, Boarding Up By-law, Fence By-law and Signs By-law.
The Permit office is also providing Property Standards enforcement and works in conjunction with the Planning Division for assistance in Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (R.R.A.P.) loan applications.
The Building Division has numerous pamphlets and application packages available to the public.
