Canada Day

Residents will be able to celebrate Canada’s 145th birthday with a full day of activities and entertainment in Lamoureux Park.

The waterfront park will once again serve as the venue for Cornwall’s annual Canada Day celebrations on Sunday, July 1st, and there will be a wide variety of free events to entertain residents of all ages.

The Children’s Tent will offer an endless supply of entertainment and fun events for the kids. The line-up includes a magic show, sign-alongs of some popular children’s songs, a show by Little Ray’s Reptiles, a petting zoo, face painting and more. At 2 pm, there will be a fun, non-competitive talent show where all children will be invited to sing a song, tell a joke or do a dance.

As per usual, the Lions Club Bandshell will be the venue for a full day of live entertainment with local musicians taking turns in the spotlight (see full listing below).

The Canada Day activities will wrap up with a bang in the form of an evening fireworks display over the Cornwall waterfront at approximately 10 pm (weather permitting).

Resident should also keep their eyes to the sky in the morning as the Snowbirds will be doing a fly by Cornwall at approximately 9 am.
