Centretown Cornwall launches City-wide Resident Survey

September 25, 2011

The Centretown Cornwall Revitalization initiative is seeking the opinion of all residents of Cornwall about shopping and services offered in Centretown.

The name of the project speaks to a larger goal of promoting the Downtown, Le Village, Cotton Mills and the Waterfront districts as a single area while still maintaining the individual characteristics of those areas.

The results of this survey will be analyzed to form the cornerstone of the revitalization plan for our community.

Some of the key questions asked will be:

  • How often do you shop/visit in the following Centretown areas?
  • What new businesses or services would you like to see added to Centretown?
  • What do you like and/or dislike about Centretown?

“We are very excited to see the results from this survey, as these will be fresh and current comments and suggestions of what Cornwall residents want to see in Centretown,” said Bryan Merkley, Chair of Centretown Cornwall.

The surveys will be inserted in the Seaway News (September 29th) and in the Standard-Freeholder (September 29th complimentary edition and October 1st regular Saturday edition).

The survey can also be filled-out online through Survey Monkey.

The completed printed survey must be returned by October 28, 2011 to one of the following locations:

  • Centretown Cornwall (113 Second Street East)
  • Moustache Joe’s (109 Pitt Street)
  • Life’s Little Pleasures (108 Pitt Street)
  • Schnitzels (158 Pitt Street)
  • Dubuc Eye Care Centre (10 Montreal Road)
  • Quick Change Costumes (353 Montreal Road)
  • Gordon Jewellers (13 Second Street West)
  • Cornwall Square (1 Water Street East)

As a thank you for completing this survey, residents can choose to be entered into a draw for prizes donated by Centretown businesses (Cornwall Career College, Life’s Little Pleasures, Gordon Jewellers, Moustache Joe’s, Quick Change Costume Rentals and Sales, Cornwall Square and Schnitzels European Flavours).
