Doors Open

Cornwall and Seaway Valley Tourism is pleased to invite everyone to the eighth annual Doors Open event in Cornwall and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

The concept of Doors Open is to welcome the general public into our historic and cultural locations, but with a bit of a difference.

Some of the sites which will be open on September 10th and 11th are not normally open to the general public. Some sites are open on a regular basis, but with an entrance fee. For this particular weekend, that entrance fee will be waived.

Many of our sites have planned special events or activities such as historical music, sessions on searching your family tree, spelling bees, stories of the past from those who have lived through it - the list goes on and on. Each site promises to provide a unique look into the past of the Cornwall and Seaway Valley Region.

The following sites will be open to the public for free as part of the Doors Open event:

  • Nor'Westers & Loyalists Museum
  • Cornwall Community Museum
  • Glengarry Pioneer Museum
  • Martintown Grist Mill
  • Chesterville & District Heritage Centre
  • Central Public School
  • Lancaster Masonic Lodge No. 207 AF&AM
  • Canamore Orchard Farm Museum
  • St. John's Anglican Church
  • TVCOGECO
  • St. Lawrence Power Development Visitor Centre
