NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGReview of Zoning By-law amendment(s) under Section 34 of the Planning Act

Application for the consideration of Amendments to the City of Cornwall Comprehensive Zoning By-law, as described herein this Notice.
Proposed Housekeeping Number 19 Zoning By-law Amendment (Rezoning for Textual and Mapping Changes):
City initiated application is being made by City staff for a Zoning By-law Amendment (Housekeeping No. 19) to make technical modifications to various sections of the City of Cornwall’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 751-1969, as amended. The modifications are intended to assist both staff and the public in clarifying certain regulations, and are commonly referred to as “Housekeeping Changes”. The proposed changes include, but are not limited to, the following items:

Additional InformationAdditional information regarding the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is available to the public for inspection at the office of the Planning Division, 100 Water Street East, 2nd Floor, Cornwall Civic Complex, Cornwall, during regular office hours.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the PAC in respect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Cornwall’s PAC to the Ontario Municipal Board.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the PAC in respect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board, unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
At this meeting, it is the intention of the Committee to review applications/initiatives and hear objections, comments, or receive briefs before making a recommendation to City Council.
