Is Your Name on the Voters’ List?

Are you an elector? You can now see if your name is on the Voters’ List for the upcoming Municipal Elections  on the City’s website.

The Voters’ List is a list of people eligible to vote in the 2010 Municipal Elections. It also identifies electors by name, address, school support and residency status. It will save you time on Voting Day if your name is on the list.

If you don’t have access to the Internet, the Voters’ List is available for viewing at City Hall, 360 Pitt Street. It will also be available for viewing at
Advance Polls at the Cornwall Square and Eastcourt Mall from
Tuesday, October 12 to Saturday, October 16. 

To be added to the Voters’ List, you must provide proof that you are 18 years of age on or before Monday, October 25, 2010; a Canadian citizen; and an owner, tenant or spouse of an owner or tenant, or a boarder within the city of Cornwall.  The following documents may be used:

  • A birth certificate issued within Canada; or
  • A Canadian passport; or
  • A Canadian citizenship card issued by the federal government
    And
  • A driver’s license (photo); or
  • A health card; or
  • A signed piece of I.D. and a document that shows your current address
