Review of an application for a Draft Plan of Condominium Conversion (PAC File CD-2018-01) as described herein this Notice.

The City of Cornwall Planning Advisory and Hearing Committee (PAC) will hold a Public meeting on Monday, January 15th, 2018 at 7 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the proposed application for a Draft Plan of Condominium Conversion (PAC File CD-2018-01) located at 1430 and 1450 First Street East (Lorneville Apartments).

Proposed Condominium Conversion Application:

1. An application is being made for a Condominium Conversion of two (2) existing rental apartment buildings containing a total of 248 units (124 per building) at 1430 & 1450 First Street East, otherwise legally described as Concession 1, Part Lot 3 on Plan 52R-762. The subject property is indicated by the hatched lines on the map above (click for larger image).

At this meeting, it is the intention of the Committee to review applications/initiatives and hear objections, comments, or receive briefs before making a recommendation to City Council. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the PAC in respect of the proposed application before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the said application, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Cornwall’s PAC to the Ontario Municipal Board.

Further, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board, unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
