Meet the H.R. Staff

Human Resources is the people department for the City of Cornwall. Its mission:

  • To train, develop, and motivate the City employees to enable them to provide the best possible service to the citizens of Cornwall.

There are many components to Human Resources. Its professional staff assist other City departments by coordinating the recruiting and selection process which brings new employees into the Corporation. Then, it ensures that employees are trained for the job.

The Human Resources group does much more than recruiting and training. There are the employee benefits to be administered, and labour relations assistance to those who need it. There is also pay equity, to ensure fair treatment of all who work for the City and, the department ensures that legislation for health and safety of all employees is adhered to.
