Part-Time/Casual School Crossing Guards

The Corporation of the City of Cornwall requires additional Part-Time/Casual School Crossing Guards for the current school year. Crossing Guards are responsible for preserving the safety of school children.  Crossing Guards should be able to demonstrate their physical and mental capability to handle the responsibility.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age; able to communicate effectively with children; physically capable of standing for extended periods of time; able to walk with the children; and have the agility to react to a potential hazard; demonstrate adequate vision and hearing levels; able to work outdoors during all seasons; and be able to arrive at point of duty for specified duty time.

Applicants must successfully complete a background check by appropriate authorities prior to employment.

The Corporation offers a competitive hourly rate.
