2016 City Budget

At a special meeting on February 29th, Cornwall City Council approved the 2016 Budget with a tax levy of $67,959,275 that supports dozens of key programs, services and amenities in the community.

The budget calls for a 2.03 per cent decrease to the residential tax rate which translates into an increase of 1.88 per cent or $41.58 in municipal taxes to the average residential property owner.

2016 City Budget Meetings

The Budget Steering Committee will be meeting on February 3rd & 4th to discuss the 2016 budget. Meetings will take place in Council Chambers at City Hall (360 Pitt Street) commencing at 9:00 am and members of the public are welcome to attend.


The Community Agencies' Review Committee will be meeting on the following dates to review the grant applications by the various community agencies/groups.  Meetings will take place in Council Chambers at City Hall commencing at 4:00 pm.


2016 Water / Sewer Budget

City Council met on Wednesday, December 2nd to discuss the proposed 2016 Water / Sewer Budget.  After much deliberations, Council approved the 2016 Water / Sewer Budget which will see the water/sewer bill increase by 1.88%.
