Emergency Preparedness

Although disasters may seem a distant possibility, emergencies situations such as the 2009 H1N1 Pandemic, SARS outbreak in the spring of 2003, the electrical power outage in August 2003, the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States and the 1998 Ice Storm, have forever raised the awareness of the importance of preparing for emergencies. The office of Emergency Management is designed to ensure that the City of Cornwall complies to the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and the necessary requirements of the Essential,  levels set forth by Emergency Management Ontario.
