BicyclesThe Share the Road Cycling Coalition (Share the Road) has announced the latest Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) awards for Ontario and the City of Cornwall has made the list.
The following communities were awarded new Bicycle Friendly status, all at the Bronze level: The City of Cornwall, City of Cambridge, Town of Collingwood, City of Temiskaming Shores and Town of Whitby. Rink volunteersIn celebration of Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday, February 18th, the City of Cornwall’s Canada 150 Committee will be offering some special activities that day at some outdoor rinks.
Hockey Day in Cornwall will touch down at four rinks to celebrate the game at the grassroots level. It will also give a chance to recognize the numerous volunteers who give their time to maintain the various rinks around the city.

The Cornwall Nationals of the Federal Hockey League will be hosting the CFL’s Grey Cup at their home game on Saturday February 4th at the Cornwall Civic Complex.

HockeyTickets are going quick for the 20th annual CJHL Prospects Game scheduled for Wednesday, January 25th at the Cornwall Civic Complex. At present, over 800 tickets have already been sold and organizers expect that number to rise as the game approaches.
